It's truly a shame when a luxury brand's online presence falls so short of its in-store reputation. My recent terrible online shopping experience, or rather, the complete lack of helpful online information, was deeply frustrating and serves as a cautionary tale. I spent considerable time navigating Shreve & Co.'s website, hoping to get some clarity on Rolex availability or at least a realistic idea before making a trip. The site was vague and provided no real insight, leading to unnecessary effort and inflated expectations. It felt like a deliberate gatekeeping, completely unlike the welcoming atmosphere I eventually found. Despite this initial disappointment, "I went in to see if they had any Rolex in stock and was greeted warmly by Craig. Craig took my information down for the wait-list and was upfront about the supply constraints. He offered to let me try on the display models they had but I already tried it on previously. He also offered a Rolex coffee table book and was overall very friendly and welcoming. I'd recommend anyone to stop at Shreve for a great customer experience." While Craig’s service was excellent, the prior online frustration lingered, compelling me to reach out to customer service to voice my concerns.
